Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted its latest Express Entry draw 347 on May 13, 2025, targeting candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). A total of 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates who had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 547.
This category-specific draw further reflects the initiative of IRCC to focus on choosing candidates currently working in Canada as this is the government’s commitment to fill in the labor market gaps and boost Canada’s economic recovery.
Express Entry Draw 347
Key Highlights of the latest Express Entry draw( as per May 13):
Draw Number | 347 |
Date of Draw | May 13, 2025 |
Program Targeted | Canadian Experience Class (CEC) |
Number of ITAs Issued | 500 |
Minimum CRS Score | 547 |
The latest draw marks the fourth CEC-specific draw of the year, with previous CEC draws held on:
- February 5, 2025 (minimum CRS 521, 4,000 ITAs)
- January 23, 2025 (minimum CRS 527, 4,000 ITAs)
- January 8, 2025 (minimum CRS 542, 1,350 ITAs)
Candidates with Canadian work experience and a CRS score of 547 or higher are now one step closer to permanent residency. Those who received an ITA have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence.
Immigration experts suggest that the return of CEC-focused draws is a positive indicator for temporary residents and international graduates seeking to transition to permanent status.
As IRCC continues rolling out more category-based draws while keeping high CRS cut-offs, candidates need to work on increasing their profiles in terms of greater scores on language tests, educational accreditations, and Canadian work experience to remain competitive.
Stay tuned for upcoming Express Entry draws as IRCC continues to meet its 2025 immigration targets.
